Judo has always been an evolving sport. But no tournament more clearly demonstrates a significant shift in style and tactics than the 2007 European Judo Championships.

The men's judo is dominated by Eastern Europe, with pick-up techniques, sacrifice throws and leg-grabs being the major scores in most contests.

Every male final, except one, is an all Eastern-European affair. But there are some exceptions, like Britain's Euan Burton, who powers through the -81kgs category with five ippons en-route to a fantastic bronze medal.
